Favourite top three horror films?

Postby Pillsburry on Thu Aug 02, 2007 8:07 pm

SO-If you guys could choose three horror films out of all of the horror films you've seen, which would be your favourites?

Moi?

3- Ringu - I never looked at my TV set the same again. (Or for some reason, kept it on stand-by. XDD) This storyline had me at the edge of my seat and I loved the twists, and the race againsted time was tense. Great film.

2- SAW - The first and original film. And one of the best endings I've ever seen! Big fan of these films.

And of all time?

1- Ju-on- The non-remake. Extreamly scary stuff, had me jumping all over the place. One of the scariest movies I've ever seen!

Other favourites include, The Tale of Two Sisters, The Shining, and I love Halloween.

Love to hear what your favourites are!

Darkness Falls. (I actually panic if something moves in my room in the dark now)
Ju-on. (Sleepover, friend's dad made me jump right before someone was being messed about with on the film)
Stay Alive. (Although it's a crappy american film, it did creep me out, you can't just stop a game, you have to end it)

1) Saw. It scares the life out of me and makes me cringe, but it's such an epic film! Everytime one ends I'm there like ":O NO WAY!"
2) Silent Hill. Not that scary :\ But it still is one of my favorite horror movies, and was also the first horror movie I ever watched!
3) Hostel. Because it's just hilerious. It's like, a more gory version of Saw, with... sex... :\ And that bit when he slipped on the mans finger... xD

Erm well I'm not sure if Sweeney Todd counts as horror, but it has a lot of blood...

1. Sweeney Todd. Not scary, I mean. HOW can a musical with JOHNNY DEPP be scary XD I fell in love with that film though. Seriously! WATCH IT! =D It has loads of blood though =P

2. Erm...probably the Grudge. I don't find it scary as most of my friends do. But I enjoy watching it late at night at huge get togethers with my friends, then making the creaky noises to scare them XD

3. Hmn...toughie. I'm not too sure now. I enjoyed Saw, but I think the plot got a bit boring in the movies. It was very easy to get bored in when people weren't being tortured =P So I will go with Ringu, LOVE that movie. Poor child, cool video ^-^

2. Shutter (probably the only film that's ever really scared me).
3. The Ring (still not really scary, but moreso than the Japanese version).

3. Alien - When your four year old daughter wakes up in the middle of the night and comes to investigate what you are watching on TV at 2am, the correct response is to not invite her to watch the rest of this movie with you. This film is the reason I was (and still slightly am) scared of the dark.

2. Creep - Oh my God it's on the London Underground D:

1. Blair Witch Project - Say what you will, nothing, NOTHING frightens me as much as this film. I can still remember seeing it for the first time, and pretending I had a head ache so I could go and lay in another room as I could not watch the end. It's now one of my favourite movies, but I know loads of people hate it. I guess it all depends on what you find scary.

OOOOH I <3 HORROR FILMS! :D
Here are my top three >.<

1. Voice Letter / Whispering Corridors 4
2. A Tale of Two Sisters (Original Korean version) ----( It REALLY annoyed me how they made and American re-make, with annoying American teenagers instead of the cute Korean girls, besides, it was based on an old Korean folk tale... So... GO AWAY)
3. And for third place ( A tough one) Err.... I'm going to say Bunshinsaba. It was a really good film and scared the bejeezers out of me XD

Others I like consist of Ringu, Ju-on, Noroi Curse, Apartment 1303, The Orphanage, Saw, The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity 2 (The first one was awful >.<)

(Can someone please tell me if they actually found 'Are you Scared?' and 'Are you Scared 2' scary? They were rather the chortle to me)

1. The grudge (but only the original, I found the American remake dead boring)
2. Saw (any up to the first 3 are fantastic)
3. battle royale or R point (this one is definitely a toss up, they are both fantastic. R point is well creepy but even though battle royale isn't exactly horror... The blood! Oh the killing it's glorious lol)
