What Was First Anime You Watched?

Probably Shin Mitsubachi Maya no Bouken (Maya the Bee?) or Haha o Tazunete Sanzenri (Marco).

Those are seriously the first anime shows you ever watched? That's pretty strange, to be honest.

May I ask why? I remember also watching Kimba, the white lion and Astroboy, but I'm confused about which one was the first I watched. Galaxy Express also, among others.

It's just that most people's first's were common anime shows like Digimon, Poke'mon and Dragonball Z; shows that did well over here in the UK. That doesn't make it a bad thing that Maya the Bee/Marco was the first anime shows that you watched, I was just intrigued by it.

I don't know if anyone knows it, The magical world of Gigi.

My godfather bought it from a video store when i was about 5, and i got hooked.
Its about a magical princess from dreamland, who goes to the real world because the whole of the dream world is collapsing (or something along those lines) because no one was being very good. She has to complete a bunch of good deeds before she can return. Ooh, and she has a talking dog, monkey-thing and a bird which somehow transform into a car. lol. It was cool.

Of course i remember it! It was pure awesomeness! I would repeat the words she used in her transformations, but I only know them in spanish >_<. The last chapter was very good.

Oh well, I think I was a little old already when they aired Pokemon or Digimon. And I really never liked them too much. I just remembered one more possible candidate, lol. Kujira no Josephina (Josephina the Whale). I wanna cry now

Ah, yes, Monster Rancher was also one of my first's. I quite loved it at the time, too.

Cardcaptors was my first, I watched it when I was about 9 but I think they stopped showing it midway through or something. Pokemon and Digimon came soon after, but I was more into the cards and Gameboy game for Pokemon than the anime itself.

As I mentioned before in this thread my first ever anime was one noones ever heard of (Time FIghters and Time FIghters in the Land of Fantasy.) but those I had on Video...the folks got rid of them a while back after which found out they were rather rare. The first one I remember ever watching on TV was Mysterious Cities of Gold. My mum hated it. LoL

First was Pokemon, but dident know what it was just that it was from Japan. Then I found the Anime Channel on Sky can't remember what it was called but It ended last year and I knew what anime was then and I watched Cowboy Bebop.

Actually thinking about it when I was young I saw Ed with Ein in a space ship so bebop was my first-nyaa ahahaha

Think mine was "Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind" when I was about 6 or 7. I could always remember the Ohmu but could never remember what the film was called until a couple of years back when it was released on DVD. Always takes me back to my youth when I watch it

Exactly the same for me!

Even though I was so young back then and had an early bed-time, sometimes I was lucky enough to stay up till past ten o'clock and watch Outlaw Star on Toonami. As well as the ones soldier mentioned, Outlaw Star was (and still is) INCREDIBLE!!
