MCM Expo Photo Report - Saturday

[LCPR]

This year was my first ever con, took loads of pics and ended up with really sore knees and feet. Nevertheless it was great fun.

I've decided to post my favourite shots here for you all to enjoy, though cons aren't exactly the best place for photo shoots (though I'd love to organise some over the summer).

Arrived at around 12:00pm, the queue wasn't super long though it was still quite a wait, there was a bit where a friend of mine wrote 'free hugs' on his DS and I held it up. Within 5 seconds someone asks if they could hug me... I said no (if on the off chance you're reading this, I'm impressed by your speed. Though that doesn't warrant a hug :p). Oh and the swarms of Narutards running around like three-year olds jacked up on sugar were annoying:


Walked around and grabbed a few shots:








And I got arrested (friend took this, anyone recognise me? :p):


It got very busy after a while, so my friends and I decided to go outside:




We then had lunch at that noodle place in front of Costa Coffee... Cue my friends struggling with the chopsticks.

Went back inside and got the obligatory "girl in skimpy costume" shot:


And saw some alien hugging:


I think this guy wants some of L's sweets (there were TONS of L's):


My friend and I were browsing the beez stand when we saw Zero. Cue me shouting "ZERO!", then him pointing at me, then him running away. He didn't get far though (Manga Alley):

We also found Euphie! Stroke of luck haha.

After the masquerade, we spotted a Code Geass group (awesome):

Didn't get a good shot though.

Then on the way out we got rickroll'd.


Definitely an awesome day, I'm now seriously interested in doing some cosplay photography and the general mood was so fun and light hearted. Roll on October.

I could see very slightly from my left eye, so it was depth perception and peripheral vision that I had major problems with. The girl who came on with me (fluffydragon on this forum) was helping me for the entire day by basically leading me around by the hand. Movement wasn't restricted much above what's normal for wearing the equivalent of a full ball gown, though.

Ignoring the content of the photos for a brief moment, I do have to compliment you. Your pictures are amazing quality. You are clearly a photographer of some skill and for that I tip my hat to you and envy with a depth of which I may never truly fathom no matter how much I focus on it.

And anyone can take good photographs, you just have too train your eye for composition as that's what makes or breaks a photo.
