Premier Travel Inn - The Legend Continues!

Postby Leadmill on Sat May 31, 2008 11:12 am

Right well come October myself and the rest of Random Accent who can make it will inevitably be staying at the PTI again. (I know its 'PI' now but I liked 'PTI' better) Like moths drawn to a giant lightbulb. Its tradition now so none of us can argue.

So else will be joining us in that most coolest of hotels, whiling away the evening's at the bar and desperatly attempting to finish costumes at the last moment!

How close is it to the expo? I stayed at the ibis for the may expo and don't want to have to carry what'll be full armour that far
Metal gear? it can't be...

Well it's futher away from the excel center than the ibis which is about the only downside, it's a couple of mins walk away.
Well worth it though.

Wonder if I'll end up with the random room invation again, that was abit mentel room was full plus people hanging about in the corridor (I didn't mind though).

It's a walk, but the rooms and space make it TOTALLY worth it.

ha ha, i wasnt saying it was wrong exactly..i was saying i liked certain bits of it *like closeness n music tv* but after just seeing the rooms in person..and walking to and from excel to PTI about 40 times...i agree.... travell inn is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than custom house <3 .... just gotta spend the night in the beds...then i'll know for sure XD
so yes...PTI is currently dominating everything else XD

What are the prices like at the PTI?

My friends and I have stayed at Travel Lodge before, the prices were good, and its not a bad place to stay, but I'd like to stay somewhere where there are more cosplayers... y'know, cause it could be more fun to hang out, rather than immediately crash.

And when you say a walk is it like...ten minutes? Fifteen minutes? Going from the Travel Lodge is a couple of DLR stops. So... yeah...

Any information would be great.

Prices are a little high but almost everyone room shares so thats never been too much of an issue, i've just booked a family room for 3 nights over Expo and its costing me £235, but think its bugger all when split between 5.

*does the happy I-Win dance*

*cough*

Yeah, for some reason, the Sunday night is REALLY expensive! It's £135 for 2 nights or £235 for three nights!? Ah well ^_^'

Elsa and I are splitting it two ways, but for people splitting it 3 or more, it's just EASY!

Once I've guaranteed the weekend off work then I'll have to book in...back-forward journeys to London aren't really my cup of tea.

Well, my group has typically roomed in the Ibis before, but due to money issues this time, we're going to take our chances and go for the PTI, so..
We've heard great things. xD
