by smaller chunks it is meant you should break it down into several paragraphs and put a line between each one, a big wall of text like that is annoying to read.

That said I would suggest next time to put some signs up detailing when the guests are going to show up. Honestly 90% of the problems I had on the weekend would have been fixed with some oh-so-simple signs.
