As you might have notices, I kicked some Dutch friends on going as Game characters on Saturday, but there are more where these came from. (AKA, I have some more friends who might not be on the forum, but WILL come as a game chara on Saturday! ^_^)

Not to rain on anyone's parade but I've been looking around and apparently the record stands at 697 people dressed in videogame cosplay.

It was at pax in american, they got 800 or so but guiness havent counted it as official record so... we win!..or will do on saturday

Hmm I don't like winning by technicality, any idea why it wasn't counted? I can't find out anything beyond their numbers.
Anyway if there's a chance we can even get a couple hundred I'm in with some hastily thrown together costume.

OK 400 people would be great. Although I think the American guys at that A-kon event won't be happy. If we can get something around 700 (ambitious I know) we might have it long enough to get in the book.

I would be one of those friends ^o^, and as I said a few posts earlier: Demon Lord Dhaos from Tales of Phantasia. And yes, I checked if the game was earlier than the anime, like about 6 years at the least XD

Actually Lucky Star Moe Drill came out before the animu but didn't come out before the mangoo. Now Shin Lucky Star Moe Drill: Tabidachi came out after the animu.

But lets face it Lucky Star is a no.

I don't care if it's on the other side of the moon, I'm clearing up something here.

Also this thread can also apply to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, FATE/STAY NIGHT, TSUKIHIME, etc. as they were all games before the animu was brought out. Visual Novels may be text heavy yet they are still games since you still interact with them.

any animé or manga or whatever else character can be there, just as long as the series was a game first, as far as the internet says, lucky star was a manga first in 2004 and the first game came out in 2005

I'm cosplaying as Yuffie and, as most of you know, she originally came from FF VII but I'm cosplaying Advent Children Yuffie. Am I still able to take part in this? *Crosses fingers*

And hey, the original character is still Yuffie, no matter what outfit she's wearing. So I guess it's okay, right?

I wouldn't see AC Yuffie as being a problem as she is ORIGINALLY a game character
