Personally I don't like the animation but it looks interesting.

I love the animation, my friends showed me a load of wakfu artwork a few months back and its lush!
The French are too good at animation, grrrr.

For a second it reminded me of avatar,
Then I saw how they were too lazy to do decent eyes on half the characters.

To me, the animation on some (not all) of the main characters seems cheesy and basic.
Like an artist who is new to the scene, if I'm making any sense here.

I don't like the art style at all. to me, it just seems too westernized. It reminded me of avatar as well...just looks like something you would see on cartoon network so i think ill pass.

Hm, when I played Dofus I didn't really mind that style of artwork, I just thought "Hey, cute french flash game, I'll get my little brothers to play with me!". When Wakfu was announced I was quite interested, but it just seems like they took Dofus and added... What exactly? Someone enlighten me xD

Also, in the past few years a lot of french animation has taken this horrible 3D turn D: My younger siblings refuse to watch France 3 now because it's either reruns or wannabe Code Lyoko style things (although it might have changed since they lasted updated me).

i actually quite like the animation style ^^
it reminds me of cell shading style.. but kinda not...
im rubbish at explaining things..the sound on my laptops gone so i dunno what the sound was like, but visually it looks good ^^
i get bored of same old same old, so its cool to see something like this step up ^^
i also play dofus and i love the characater designs ^^ i think this could be a hit in some way or another (b^^)b
i'll keep a lookout on the day for more of it ^^

Despite not liking the animation, I think the music is really good, so if you get a chance, watch it agin with sound.

Personally, I'm not that keen. The style seems a bit... I don't know, odd? I'll keep an eye out, but only out of mild curiosity...

Bumping this from the depths of obscurity just to let a very few people know how incredibly awesome Wakfu turned out to be.

That trailer really didn't make it look worth watching. To perhaps change that opinion and show just how far the animation progressed since then, here's the phenomenal season 2 intro.



I really regret not having seen it back in 2009 now!
