Memorabilia and the credit crunch

Postby WaveCrest on Sun Feb 22, 2009 3:44 pm

I thought this would be an good topic in the run-up to the Spring 2009 Memorabilia show. It will be interesting to see if Memorabilia is affected by the credit crunch.

That coupon which was available in the Express & Star at the time of the first Memorabilia under new management/owners was helpful. Hopefully they (the Express & Star) will do this again for the Spring show.

What coupon was this??
Please dont say it was another example of organisers taking the p*** out of regulars such as happened at star wars celebration europe. We all pay quite a vast amount of money for a weekend pass to the event in advance to guarantee entry and then found out that they had given away free entry to everyone in a newspaper on the actual weekend?!?!
If there is a coupon available for discount entry, I do believe there should be a forum announcement rather than some of us throwing our money away !

The only coupon I remember was one offering some money off on entry :)

signs of credit crunch showing already by the guest list.

I can only afford one show this spring and i look daily here hoping to see something to pull me to this one. A month to go, still hoping for a few decent guests to be announced!!!

It's looking very expensive for me already!

We can not vouch for what the previous owners of the event did.

We have not issued any vouchers.

I am now closing this thread as it is not relevant to the event.
