Cramming's easy, we had 5 people in a twin room in May, no checks or anything. Although obviously, only have the designated number of people actually go to check in, don't announce it to the desk xD

Cramming is very easy, as the majority of the people in the PTI see us as an indifferent group.
Unless an individual stands out through their actions, the staff wont notice more than a normal number of people going up to one room.

On another note, I'm in the PTI again in October.
I'd feel terrible if I betrayed the PTI Club.

Well there's only gonna be 6 of in a 4 person room, so it's not insanely bad xD

We've got it all planned out so that the person who's name the booking is in, books in with three other people, taking our luggage with them. Once arriving in the room they text me the room number and floor, and me and Alec waltz in with no luggage looking as if we've already booked in already or whatever, BHAM PLAN >]

Is anyone going to the Beckton Premier Inn? 'Cause it's MUCH cheaper than the ExCel one, and is only a five/ten minute drive away. I booked my room for 2 a week ago, and it was only £60.

Can't believe it's half the price of the Excel one! Though it does mean we have to pile onto the DLR for 6 stops with all our bags... :/

I've got a PTI docklands one booked but its £211 for two nights for me and a friend. I wouldn't mind if one or two other people would like to share the room to cut a price to about 50 each, but it isn't looking likely. ><

Still, if the PTI a bit further away is that much cheaper I might have to look into it. :3

I'd just like to make it known (since I've already booked and so don't have to worry about it getting fully-booked >8D ) that the prices for next May have been put down.

You can book up to a year in advance, so I booked in May, and since it was far away from expo, the prices were the normal base price of £67 a night.

However, since then, they've really messed the prices around O.o but it looks like they've actually specifically lowered the prices for Expo weekend, which is jolly nice of them. Although it also appears that they've raised the normal price for that hotel from £67 to £78.

So to stay on the Thursday night (the 27th, as well as any day before this) it would cost £78. But to counter this, to stay on the Friday night and Sunday night is £47, and the Saturday night is £57! So I cancelled my normal £134-for-the-friday-and-saturday booking, and rebooked, and got it all for £104 8D

I have a few random qs about PTI.

1. are there ironing/laundrette type facilities either at PTI or somewhere nearby?
Creases in my cosplays srsly annoy me! And travelling all the way from Chester, theres bound to be a few creases in one of my cosplays somewhere...I just know it lol

2. how good is the food there? Worth the price or not?

3. K, just how are you going to smuggle in your grenades, rocket launchers, lazors etc without bein noticed by PTI staff? lol

4. Please dont sacrifice yourself! Rice plushie must live! Since rice plushie mama will keep me warm on the saturday should i freeze to death see....lol

5. is it loud at night at PTI...like endless parties, or are people normally like under control and stuff?
If i dont get my beauty sleep there'll be trouble in the mornings!!

6. I like lists.

7. Maybe I should stop asking questions, and just go and see for myself lol

I can answer some of these 8D

1) Not as far as I am aware. However, you can pick up a miniature ironing board (the kind used for shirt sleeves) very cheap, and a travel iron too, or just bring a normal one if it isn't too bulky/heavy. This is what my group did last time :3

2) The breakfast there is pretty expensive, I'd imagine the normal meals would be the same. Food inside the excel centre is ridiculously expensive too though. The best places to eat are if you cross over the station bridge, and walk into Freemasons road. There's a cafe, and there's also a chinese takeaway that I've heard is very nice, lots of other little shops, and all for extremely cheap - you wouldn't think it was right next to the Excel Centre!

3) The staff don't care what you bring in xD Obviously we don't wave grenades at them, but they're used to seeing weird props during expo time.

4) 8D

5) Nah, it's really quiet. The bar's quite noisy, but the sound doesn't really travel, and everyone's on their best behaviour.
