Alright guys. I am throughly interested in this Cosplay Chess match idea. I've always wanted a go. Any idea what time you'll be doing it?

I also have a proposition. I say we make this Ninja vs Pirate match a reality: my team of pirates against any ninja who wishes to stand in our way. All in the name of friendly competition.

+1 for the good side: that makes what, 2 or 3 so far?

Summoning would be quite apt.

Or if push comes to shove, I could be a controller - me like chess.

How many pirates, you say?

Charlotte, you're running the meetup. Gimme some figures. Then add five(ish) for the South Wales Pirates.

I completely missed out on the stuff that happened outside in May, I hope to join in this time, it sounds really fun!

Just a few little suggestions:

1 - For Cosplay Chess, how are you gonna identify the people,
You could use like cardboard signs?

2 - If made like Harry Potter Wizard Chess.

a prize should be awarded for the best fight!

Ooh and another way of keeping track of things (if you didn't plan this already)
Have a real chessboard to move the pieces on to stop complete confusion.

It would be up to you whether the players use this, or only the ref sees it to check legal moves?

To the pirates vs ninja battle (sorry, ive been away for a while) we do plan on doing that, but we werent sure how many pirates would be wanting to play, we were going to have the good vs evil match because everyone can play in that, and then we were going to do some other matches when we knew what cosplayers we'd have :)

And one of our goup is making hats that will have the peices names on them in either black or white, and i did consider the chess board!!!!!! we may bring one for the leader of each side to see the full board.

As for claiming spots, i am only claiming my position as ref as it doesnt really change the board, and as the organisers Leaders Cosplay are simply claiming the spots they want in advance. Really, the peices will be decided at the event!

Yes, well thats what we're basing it on, though of course it will be slightly different, i somewhat doubt that a third party will abmush players on the board and kill them, although the leaders may arrange a few little suprises...

Depending on the day and time, my friends and I would definetely be up for this. Sunday would be easier as we don't have anything planned that day.

Yeah as Amy says Sunday would be best for me...then again I have no idea what side I would be on for chess...Good or Evil... Then again it would be the same for both characters...
