London MCM Expo London's Comic Con Memorabilia NEC

I recently decided to organise a small, low-key Harlow meet-up with LemGemapple co-organising it with me. A few of my friends have shown interest in going, as have a few online friends such as forum member Charmy.

Cosplay is optional, it'll be on November 21st and will last from about 11am-6pm or so. The meeting point is FirstBowl near the bus terminal - if you think you may have issues finding the place, say so and we'll arrange something. We're likely to go to town park to hang out at what we call the 'Tortoise' or something along those lines.
Again, this meet-up isn't anything spectacular - we won't be doing much and I doubt loads of people will be attending. This is just to hang out and meet others that enjoy cosplaying/expo's/games/anime in or around Harlow Town.
Also, for reasons explained it a few posts below, only people around 20-ish or younger can attend, sorry!

Yes! I shall be co organizing it, which seems like abit of fun.

But in all honesty, i think we should slowly put together a list of who is coming on the first post, so then that way we can keep a record on who could be interested in coming and such. (It should include people whom are on here and people we know from around town, as i got a few more people interested)

If it is any constellation, i will more likely come in cosplay. But if you do come in cosplay, and you're like from the same anime as some of the others, then you can do like a mini photoshoot from that anime series?

But the event isnt anything that special and also... Is there any games that people would be interested in aswell, as we can see if we can get our hands on some of these and such?

I'll make a list. As for seperate series photoshoots, that won't happen as there won't be that many people attending. We will have a photoshoot with everyone that's attending if everyone's okay with that though.

As for bringing games, what do you mean?

Like twister as most people seem to enjoy doing and such.

Okay, sorry guys! I'll organise one in or near London at some other point, but for now I decided I've just arranged one in my hometown.

And Pocayo, Harlow is in Essex and a little bit away from London.

It seems this topic needs alittle bit more love. not only that, but it seems were slowly gathering up people for this meet.

Of course these are people who are from Harlow and such. Know them through other people and such and it seemed a few of them seem to be cosplaying aswell. Not only that but it seemed it is picking up slowly on facebook mainly.

Other than that, it would be good for other members on this forum could come.

I think the main issue is that there's only a few people here that live in or near Harlow and about half of those people aren't active. (Oh, and I'm gonna' need names for this list as I don't even know who's attending.)

Still, whoever is able to come we'd appreciate it.

Sorry for the double-post, but me and LemGem have decided that the meet-up will likely be on Saturday 21st November.

The meet-up point is likely to be outside the entrance to FirstBowl (near the bus station) unless anyone else has any quarrels with it or a better suggestion.

I'm unsure anyone from the forums here other than Charmy is able to attend anyway, but yeah...

Ah, awesome, I was beginning to think we'd lack attendees!

A few of our friends are attending also, and I believe LemGem has made contact with 4 or 5 anime fans that live in Harlow that want to come too.

EDIT: Ah. Sorry, but was just told that LemGem would prefer if people were attending were 20-ish or younger, which I suppose is fair enough as we're 16 and all. Seeing as that she's helping co-organise this, I'll have to respect that wish, so my apologies!

I'll set up one at a later date that isn't age-restricted if this one goes well, I'll inform you when that happens.

UHHH, m'kay, if you don't want to be at FirstBowl at around 11 then... uh... do you have FaceBook? I'll give you my number and when you're ready to come you can phone and I'll tell you where we are.

Awesome Garaa. Atleast ya are attending. Hope ya come in cosplay aswell, if ya decide to! :3

The list may seem short, but keep in mind that we're bringing some friends and a few people attending are bringing friends etc. Expect about 15 people minimum to be attending by the looks of things.

Regarding cosplay, I don't want to turn people off of the idea and may be sorta' in cosplay myself, but Harlow may not be the most receptible place to the concept of people walking around in costume.

Also! Yatsuba. Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking. How old are ya? Because kinda a small age restriction on this meet up. But the future one, shall not have one.

EDIT: Also Toadzanimez! Need to add Jereha as a definate person coming.

Yeah, you make good point about cosplaying in Harlow. After living here for so long, we would get some odd looks via chavs and other people.

I still have my Yugioh Abridged T-Shirt I can wear so that's not too bad I guess.

I may try and get some of the yugioh group together that I talk to on . if they are free, but of course I will check there age first, if that helps.
