MCM FRINGE what is it all about? The answer is YOU!

MCM FRINGE is set to become an exciting part the existing MCM EXPO weekend. Its all about the growing community and for everyone who wishes to be part of it.

Simply put its a way that YOU can host an organised activity over the MCM Expo weekend and for us to help publicise what you are doing which will allow people who have an interest in what you are doing to take part, Avoid time, theme and location clashes by being able to see at a glance on line what's happening and where, put simply a calendar of activities?

It really is that simple!

MCM FRINGE is not there to take over, own or take credit for the activities that you are already running we want you to continue running them unhindered as they are yours all we want to do is help you to let others know about them and support you in what you are doing and this can be done by registering to be part of the MCM FRINGE!

To take part in the MCM FRINGE is completely FREE and so easy to do, you don't need any other ticket other than the Valid Wristband you will already have to enter the Expo.

We want to help you enhance what you already have and in turn it will help Expo to be an even greater community weekend than it is already.

After the May Expo you will find that we will be organising Official MCM FRINGE community activities outside which will help the weekend to be even bigger and better than it is already, so if you would like to be involved in arranging some Official MCM FRINGE fan activities outside then please let us know by emailing and remember to take part in these activities you need only have a Valid wristband to enter the Expo.

To be part of the 'MCM FRINGE' is very simple all you have to do is the following:

1, Register FREE your organised event, gathering, photoshoot, picnic and so on.
2, To register just send an email with the following details to

*The name of the activity such as a Naruto meet, photoshoot, picnic and so on.
*The main persons name organising it as they will be the point of contact and MCM Expo message board user name if you have one.
*The approximate time it will take place.
*Where on site you are hoping for it to take place.
*Also agreeing that anyone taking part will be in receipt of a valid wristband for the Expo.
* Fringe activities are to be run by fans, not commercial companies or groups.

When we have this we will confirm back to you the details and also give you information on the badge that you will pick up from us at the Expo showing you are organising the meet/photoshoot/picnic and so on and that it has been approved or not.

An added bonus is that your activity will be added to the Official MCM FRINGE page on the main London MCM Expo website (Being advertised is not compulsory, let us know if you don't want to be):

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you as part of the Official 'MCM FRINGE' & Expo Community

For meetings, gatherings or group organised activities for instance photo shoots, over and above those featured as part of the main Expo event, MCM Expo need to be made more formally aware of the activity itself so that each proposal is judged on its own merits and is deemed to be taking place safely with due diligence and to the overall benefit of the event in question.

This is standard practice for all events at ExCeL London.

Anyone taking part in separate events/gatherings intrinsically linked to an event, in your case MCM London Expo, should be in possession of a valid wristband for the show.

The easiest way of making us aware of an organised activity is to send an email to the organisers of the particular event registering your activity.

A dedicated email address for MCM FRINGE activities has now been set up -, This will ensure your event is verified, logged and approved or not approved.

People taking part in any organised activities must be wristband holders.

Consequently the activities will have the added benefit of being publicised on the main event web site and identified as a supplementary part of the main MCM Expo weekend and MCM FRINGE that people may like to get involved with.

Excel as a venue and MCM Expo as the organisers accept that many impromptu gatherings take place during the event as that is part of the attraction of the MCM London Expo weekend and adds to the festival feel, MCM Expo also accept that not all organised activities at this point will be registered as this is an ongoing process but we would still expect that those taking part in them whether registered or not would be in receipt of a valid wristband as this is now our entry policy to the show and will also serve to minimise Health & Safety issues and of course offer Due Diligence.

Any further questions on this subject should be directed to

**Members of the general public passing through or visiting the Excel Campus do have a right of access, however ExCeL London reserve the right to disband unauthorised gatherings or escort any individuals or groups in breach of the MCM Fringe terms of use from it's campus.
