Another Year, Another Post-Expo Blues Thread

I already miss you crazy cosplayers. Who else is showing early signs of the Blues?

Man, I showed signs walking down the stairs to leave Expo. :c

I had to leave early (Meaning I had to leave friends early who I have been meaning to meet for about 6 monthes now) and I was already gutted about many things (I forgot to buy things, photos etc.) xc

All the cosplayers were amazing and I wished that I got more photos now.

I also missed alot of things and already have a list to do for May. 8D

This is the first expo I forgot to take photos. I am so gutted. It will literally be a case of scouring any photoalbum that's posted on here to relive memories ): Ah well, and yes, I have a similar list!

Same here... there was alot of things i wished to have done on the day and now May seems so far away.

I got to meet up with loads of old mates which I haven't seen for over a year, so the expo was great for a meet up since it was some of their first time. Not only that but I was able to feel relax from the hardship of uni already xD a BA in Animation is a killer and so mcm was my stress relief lol. To think I'm back in on monday and i didn't even get a half term =/ don't know when I'll be able to enjoy such a great time again with everything beside this Con... or Dragon con which I hope go to next Aug/September o.o

I wish i brought a camera (my phone memory card filled up quickly) >_< and i've realised i am spending more time on the forums than i did before the expo... And i was to scared to ask the really cool Natsu (from fairy tail) for a photo (;_;)
I wish someone had the energy to make a mini mcm london expo around february-march, but i guess the reason the expo is so good is because it's only twice a year..

I had the blues on the way back to Cornwall in the car, it was my first ever expo and im not allowed to go to another one until im 18 and can go on my own ;^; thats 2 years away!
I really wish i'd had the courage to ask people for more photo's, I only took about 18 :S I really want to go back there now! It was such an amazing place, I felt really at home there. It feels so lonely being back here now D:
I missed quite a few things, because I went with my parents, they wanted to see alot of the pannels and wouldnt let me go around on my own :/ I should have spent alot more time outside, meeting new people ^-^
But I guess i'll have to wait patiently until october 2012 now :S I miss that place so much already ;^;

This illness comes in stages:

1) Feeling of content.

2) Melancholy *cough* but not of Haruhi Suzumiya *cough*

3) Through remembering your awesome day, a feeling of regret and sadness because a) you may have missed something you wanted to buy/see/do and will have to wait until next year to buy/see/do, b) you have to wait another year to bask in the Expo atmosphere and meet with friends.

4) Post-Expo blues.

The only known cure is to patiently wait until May/October next year, sadly :\.

I know that feeling mate. The awful moment about 5 minutes after you walk off from someone and you realise that you'll probably never speak to them again. But then the wonderful feeling that this will happen so many times over the course of the weekend, and that probably won't happen anywhere else

...Whoops, I just deepened the blues for myself. Screw this, I'm making my own expo in my flat. MVM can have a booth in my bathroom, Beez will be in the shower, TokyoToys on one side of the bed, Terratag on the other, a little artist alley under my desk, United Publications in my wardrobe, and a yaoi stand in my fridge

I am using the expo blues as a way to motivate me into building some kind of cosplay of epic proportions. My plan is to aim high. This way when I bail out halfway through due to funds/time being wasted elsewhere I will still have a half decent cosplay.

That's the theory anyway. I refuse to be that guy who isn't in cosplay but wishes he was...I mean again.

Actually, it's because we're sharing the love with other parts of the country- February is Midlands MCM Expo for example ^_^

I can be myself at Expo. Do you get people looking at you strangely when you talk about your love for anime and what not at home? I do. They do the whole "oh grow up" thing and it does get you down sometimes but I dont pay attention to them. I love what I love and anime is soooo worth loving! but at the Expo, I look at the amount of people that are there and all the cosplayers and being 18 there are so many older people who cosplay more then I do im sure and it makes me so happy and feel like the people back at home could never stand up to the Expo'ers It makes me feel alot better and encourages me to answer back at the people who tell me what I love is stupid.
So yeah, depressed its over and gotta get back to colage and what not >< but im deffo going to Midlands Expo, London Expo in May and the new Manchester Expo reunite with you all then!

Heading back home on the train on Sunday the only songs I could listen to were sad ones! I also noticed sighs were coming out by themselves and I probably didn't look particularly happy. Then when I got back home I reminisced the days gone by, opened all of the stuff I bought, then went to bed while hugging my giant leek and got some much needed sleep.

I awoke on Monday and the first thought in my head was 'Expo', but as the day went by I found myself cheering up and surprisingly I have become pretty hyped again. Maybe I just had such a good time that I don't have time to be depressed yet! I'm still having fun just uploading Expo photos to deviantART, Expo videos to YouTube, and posting on the Expo forums! Come next week I think that's when the Expo blues will kick in full force, when I have nothing else Expo related to do.

Although perhaps as some kind of salvation I have subconsciously decided to cosplay at the next Expo, which I remember also happened last time, although it eventually came to nothing... hopefully this won't be a case of deja vu and I will actually cosplay this time!

I had the expo blues BEFORE even getting to the damn expo. It was such a badly planned expo.
My prop broke before I even left the house...and...and...I decided to changed into my cosplay on the train and sat in gum -.-
Yeah, you can laugh now. Totally spoiled the whole day.

I didn't really enjoy this expo anyway. May expos are always better (:
