Anybody else being a complete saddo?

Postby MissZiggles on Tue Nov 02, 2010 10:08 pm

Anyone else still wearing wristbands cause they're still slightly in denial that the expo is over?

I took mine off when I got home on Saturday. We have to move on sometime, haha. Anyway I wanted a shower and I thought it would have soaked through anyway. I still have the band on my desk though. It was quite difficult getting that thing off. They're a lot stronger than they look.

They aren't made to come off that's the point of them. If the popper seal isn't fully in you can sometimes unbutton it otherwise you really have no chance. Easier to just cut it off than mutilate it by pulling at the seal.

Dx That sucks. I really wish they make fabric ones for May. Festivles have them, and I know they would be pricy, but they have thosands of expo-comers each time, fabrics ones seem the most durable and memorable.

Mine came off the moment I left the hall for the last time. Wanted to get some decent photos in my cosplay without that horrible neon thing ruining it.

I have the plastic weekend band, so I'm gonna see if it lasts until next Expo. 8)

Festivals also have way more money behind them in sponsership money and funding and turn a huge profit. I think silky fabric wristbands would be stretching the poor organisers resources just a tad :P

I took mine off after I left the expo hall and was waiting in PTI for my friends' parents to arrive to pick them up before I took off and went home on the Sunday. I had issues with my wrist band, I posted a thread concerning these issues. I wanted mine off ASAP. Horrible little thing...

ive managsed to take mine off multiple times, it takes a while the first few times but if you dont want to cut it or unpop the popper which just cant be done then try sliding it over your hand
ive done that a few times now and mines still fully intact, if not a little stretched

and its been off a few times already, purely cause it doesnt fit the uniform dress regulations of cadets, apart from that its stuck like glue to my wrist and isnt coming of for quite the time to come >3 but yea i just slip it off and on when need be and alls fine

I still have mine on. The yellow colour is fading on it, so I'm starting to see the white underneath, and the black print is fading too, so I've started to stick with baths lately, rather than showers, just for the sake so it lasts that little bit extra. xD
