Is anyone going in the masquerade? I want to but i'm not exactly sure what i'd do. Part of me wants to do the evolution of dance for a laugh It's not everyday you see a spartan dancing to a series of random songs, but considering this is my first cosplay I'm fairly nervous.

I'm planning on going in it with Ashika (and anyone else who wants to) but it would be to show off the costume rather than to entertain. On the note of dancing: what are you making your armour out of? Mine's card covered in resin and some filler so dancing is virtually impossible for me.

Mine's also card covered with resin and now that you mention it dancing in a suit of armour may not be the best idea
For one it will get really hot, two it will probably break and three... I can't dance to save my life!

I still want to take part in the masquerade though ^^

Helmet progress All filler is prepped and ready for combat insertion. Sanding is at 70% capacity. 30% is needed for completion of the mission (Don't quite know what that was about >.< Had a bit of a nerd fit )

I'm tempted to go as Emile...Either Emile or my custom Spartan from Reach

Just a little bit of progress. Doubt i'll get the armour all finished in time for Reach's release But atleast it'll be done for expo

Hand pieces are now done and are able to be worn. (Pistol included for added awesome )


Very crude picture of what the lights will look like. My girlfriend did an amazing job of wiring up a set of what is effectively christmas tree lights She's made an entire circuit out of 33 bulbs (11 sets of 3) and we will be creating nice, snug housings for the lights when the armour is "done".

That looks great! What have you used for the visor? Is it a motor bike helmet one?

Yeh its just a motorbike visor insert ^^ we got them from ebay!

Heya there.

I heard you're looking for masquerade partners.

Well... we've kept this quiet for as long as we can now... (3 days).
My friend BlueBlade is going as a Spirit of Fire ODST and I'm going as... erm... a Hunter.

It's all home made and still in progress... as in just started. But we've got a lot of free time between now and the expo. And have made a lot of headway already. Blue will have images of it up soon. If you're still interested, you can count us in for the Masquerade for sure.

As the Masquerade form is up we need to fill it in if we want to enter! (Might not be any space left already!?!)

Do you guys want to do a performance or just a parade?

We could do something like I talk to ODST and Spartan then I walk off and one of them ask where we are going and I say 'to war' (because that is an epic line)

Then hunter comes on and the two guys can attack? We can supply our own soundtrack so can just use actual speech from the game rather than us saying stuff over the music.

Any other suggestions since mine is really not very creative? >.<

Blue and I are both up for a performance. We've also just had another ODST confirmed. He wasnm't sure if he could procure a ticket but just has. Do you guys have xbox live at all? All 3 of us do and we reckon it'd be easier too organise a cohesive plan quickly.
