I just got back from Telford (I live locally like).

Aside from feeling like there were less stalls to look at, the expo itself was one of the best I've seen them pull off in Telford.

Queues moved fast, attendants were friendly.

The 3DS booth was well executed and for the amount of people who I saw try it, they didn't let the queues get out of hand.

I think everyone involved in Telford Expo did well today, it was a great gap-filler between October and May x3

I thought it was pretty good this year.The 3DS section went suprisingly well considering how small the area was for it.It seemed to me like there was more stuff this year,either that or it was set out better with less gaps.

I absolutely adored Telford!! It was amazing, I had such a great time! I agree, it really was lovely. I was surprised we actually got to have a go on the 3DS (which looks amazing!), but the queues were brilliant, and very well organised.
I bought so much stuff!!! I can't believe how much I spent on merchandise! XD I wish I could've spent all day just browsing! XD
Overall, I just loved it today, and I can't WAIT till next year!

I really enjoyed the expo ^^ Saddly I didn't see many from the forum>> I don't think ._. but it was still good and I bought quite abit of merchandise, all in all a great day and fun XD I saddly never got a chance to see the new 3DS T_T

My first ever expo and I adored it. Such a new experience for me, and despite my fears didn't have to queue long to do anything I wanted to! I got to admit though, the main reason the event kicked so much . was the cosplayers and the community "events". TF2 meet and being assassinated were definite highlights

I LOVED it. I was actually a little dissapointed from last years expo becuase it just didn't seem to hold the same vibe but after 2011 it set itself straight again. The 3DS section was brilliant, though I ended up on the submarine game which had sunken ships, which freak me out DX. My only qualm with it is the fact the masquerade ran on for so long. I understand that there are more and more cosplayers applying, but I had to leave before the winners were announced (anyone mind updating me on who won what?) and if any songs and dances went on I had to miss those too ): Still, that's not a big enough downer to ruin the whole event. It was amazing!

Masquerade was only slightly longer but we started just after 3:30 rather than 3:00 which made a big difference. I'll do a winner post in the morning and hope I can put photos up soon too.

Just on the first comment on LESS stalls, there were actually 30 extra tables in the hall than last Feb so there were MORE stalls. Maybe you just could not see them all as it was so busy

personally i was suprised that when i came outside the hotel there was construction going on but when i found the expo place i was excited cause there were more cosplayers than last year
i was kinda sad casuse no-one took my photo but i actually got a few photos for myself
also the dance meet was kinda cool

It was my 4th Midlands and I enjoyed it better than last year!

I spent the first half just browsing as I was waiting for my friends to arrive and I felt that there were more things I was intreasted in buying than last year. Shame I didn't have much money T_T

I entered the masquerade for the first time ever and I can see myself entering more for conventions and Expos in the future and looking forward to them too. To me the rush of excitement and stress backstage, and seeing the other cosplayers upclose was far more fun than being in the audience looking for a good view and waiting for it to start

I got Early entry this year and when I got in it was awesome
There seemed to be more families this year than the last two years and everywhere I stood someone would push me out the way and stand in front of me </3
There seemed to be like tons more people, which is why I'm glad I got early entrance so I could get round the stalls before it got too busy
I liked it better last year but this year was still amazing Next year hopefully I'll have a epic cosplay to where 8D

I was really happy with this years expo! However, I was kinda scared by the massive que for general entry
I'm so happy I got early entry this year ^_^;
Also, I swear to god there has never been that many free give aways at the expo, and all the Nintendo and gaming stuff was AMAZING! I was really happy about that, especially to see Pokemon Black & White there! An awesome event, MCM really did well with this one

I'm also really annoyed that the next Midlands Expo likely wont be until next February. Why cant we have another in September again? Don't say because there's no demand, because as yesterday shows, the event was packed, and would be in September, too.

I have to agree, I loved seeing everyones costumes up close and seeing how nervous some people were, or excited.. It also gave another reason to get to know new people who you might not have seen all day XD I'm only sad about the expo because I didn't get to see the new 3DS D: I'm also glad I got early entry though ^^;;

Because the organisers and volunteers are only human ^_^; There's seven MCM shows this year, and there continues to be development of existing shows and this all takes a lot of organising and hard work. Also, while I can't speak for all the other volunteers I like to be able to use some of my annual leave to have a break, and I spend a quarter of my weekend at events already.

I had a great time this year. I had a lot of requests for photos and I found myself talking to alot more people. I definitely feel that there were less stands and less artists which would do things like portraits than what I've seen previously, but of course thats down to artists applying for tables.
One other thing that I've noticed is that seating has been decreasing year by year, and it gets a bit difficult for everyone to remain comfortable by the time the masq comes along as we've been on our feet all day. I noticed the adjoining room where the food court has been previously was empty this year, perhaps that could be used for the masq instead? (like the London expo has separate rooms)

Angel you are so wrong as there were as noted above many more tables than there were last February.

There are no less chairs in the stage area, what it is, is that more people are attending and filling the chairs and area faster.

We will not in the forseeable future be booking a seperate hall for the masquerade.

The Masquerade in London does not have a seperate room it is placed in the main stage area which is curtained off but is still part of the main event halls.

like everyone else. i had a great time there too! got there earlier than i did last year, got myself a Voltron dvd freebie along with the other freebies that came with it.

i notice the stage for talk, announcments and masquerade was a lot more smaller, which i prefer. health & safety reasons, i remember my friend that was on the masquerade last year fell of the stage.

and in my opinion from what ive seen. there was a lot more people than last year Midland Expo. I know people have been asking for it to become twice a year event thing but is there still some thoughts about making it a two day event?
