Any ideas which games will be on show?
What will the setup be with the Gamespot UK team at the expo?
Will it be the same setup as we see Gamespot usa with events like CES and e3 having there own desk with guests, and game demos if so I'm there
If we get any panels please get either people from 343 industries/ Bungie or the voice actors and writers for the Gears of war novels/ comics like wise for Halo Do that and I will sleep outside from the night before to get in.
Following on from the recent blockbuster announcements regarding title sponsorship by The Green Lantern movie and the exclusive panel by the X-Men: First Class and Thor movie writers, The MCM Expo Group has announced today an official partnership with Gamespot UK adding more fuel to the fire that this year’s events are set to be the biggest yet.
At the centre of this partnership that will run in both May and October is the ‘GameSpot UK @ MCM Expo’ stage, where visitors to the show will be able to enjoy the latest trailers, panel discussions, and presentations from special guests. The stage will be hosted by the GameSpot UK editorial team, led by Guy Cocker and Jane Douglas. Attendees will also have the chance to visit the Gamespot UK booth on the showfloor at which they will be able to see exclusive early looks at some of 2011 biggest titles.
The event now in its tenth year, continues to attract some of the worlds major developers with the likes of EA, Ubisoft, Capcom and Nintendo (Who recently gave UK gamers the European first public play of the Nintendo 3DS) all displaying their new titles and hardware.
“GameSpot UK is a perfect fit for London’s Comic Con and we’re absolutely thrilled to have them on board,” said MCM Expo co-organiser Bryan Cooney. “We aim to give our visitors the very best in pop culture, whether it’s games, movies, comics, cosplay or anime, and the ‘GameSpot UK @ MCM Expo’ stage is a great way to raise gaming’s profile at the show and put it at the heart of the Expo experience.”
GameSpot UK Publishing Director, Ben Howard commented, “We’re delighted to be partnering with MCM Expo, an event which has become a mainstay in the pop-culture calendar, with some of the biggest names in games, movies, TV and comics making an appearance.
“We believe GameSpot UK’s partnership with MCM will continue to grow video gaming’s presence at the show and give the show’s visitors a fantastic early look at the games they should be playing over the next year.”
The London MCM Expo takes place at ExCel London on 27-29 May and 28-30 October and with more announcements likely to follow, one thing is certain, this year the London MCM Expo events are more than certainly going to claim their title of Londons Film And Comic-Con.
I hope we don't just get games that are already out at the point of the event, give us some early stuff. Dead Island would bring the zombie love back to mcm
