I'm one of the many that just watched it to see what the fuss was all about. So I watched it online.

I think it WINS as a 'Chick Flick'. It has all the ingredients for it. A hawt male-lead falls for the ordinary, clumsy girl.
The "I want to eat you but I love you" theme is prominent throughout the movie - almost to the point of overkill, but it's understandable.

All in all, I'm not mad about spending two hours of my life watching it xD.#

The lead girl, yeah, I remember her in Zathura. LOL.

You know what. I hated the book. I REALLY disliked how the relationship was portrayed and I hate the effect it's having on young girls.

But.

Oh yes, there's a but.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about the movie so I'll be giving it a go. If it's like any other book-to-movie it'll be far enough removed I might actually like it

I'll either watch it on the Friday night or the Saturday.

I hated the book and I hated the 'romance' between Edders and Bells. [I also hate their characters too]

But, I want to see the film, because sometimes movies can be better than the book.

Although one plan was to go watch the film late at night drunk and covered in glitter with my fellow anti-twilight friends...
Saturday: Switzerland (Heidi) (?)
Sunday: Maguri.

-Copied it from the other thread-

Out of ALL the opinions and reviews people gave me of Twilight i STILL hate it.

Sparkly vampires, no. Vampires do not shine/sparkle, and the stupid middle aged woman who wrote that is clearly insane.
I had a conversation with a friend over Twilight vs. other Vampire books, and just because loads of myths about vampires being weak to garlic, crosses etc, that was the only defence the twilight fan had, i read the blurbs of the books on Wikipedia and twitched.

Oh the girl looks so beautiful, the guy's a badboy vampire but likes her even though she has no personality and is a constant victim in EVERY BOOK.
Has no one seen that she randomly gets in trouble, then gets saved at the last minute, they won't let her die!

I want to read the Anne Rice novels now, like The Vampire Lestat and Interview With The Vampire. >>;

( I don't even want to go watch the film of this, films are renowned for bringing out the pointless and stupid parts of a story from a book and putting it together =___= )

Scratch EVERYTHING i said and watch this, then you won't have to spend £5 to watch the film xD http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=1u718MmV0dg

Seen it, didn't pay for it though LOL

Um...the action was pretty good. Everything leading up to that bored me. I'm fine with romance films, but the relationship was just...boring LOL Still, it was better than the book as you didn't have to hear ALL of Bella's thoughts about how amazing Edward is etc.

Going to see this for a mates b.day and I'm curious as to whether I'll like it or not. It's a vampire romance which is right in my taste and everyone seems to be going mad for it yet there's quite a few complaints also. Hmmm. I haven't read the books though.

Im going to see it this weekend. Not really sure if ill like it or not.

Ive read the books and didnt find them as spectacular as all of my friends do. I also find that i hate it when decent books are turned into movies - so much gets left out that after reading the book i find the movie is a ridiculously small cut of what i know actually happens in the story.

Watched last night and enjoyed it. So what if sparkly vamps are not the norm? lol I can see why others may not be impressed but it was enough to entertain me. I shall read the books now =)

My fav lines:

"And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…
What a stupid lamb.
What a sick, masochistic lion."

People are only watching it because there is not Harry Potter movie this Christmas. If it was out, this would be completely overshadowed.

Smart move, Twilight people!

Underworld- Rise of the Lycans.
"The prequel will trace the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires and their onetime slaves, the Lycans (werewolves). In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian (Sheen) emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Viktor's daughter Sonja (Mitra), in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom."
