Tim Burton's 9

Postby Tif9123 on Thu Nov 12, 2009 11:19 am

Well what is your opinion of this film? it was played at the london mcm expo october masquerade both saturday and sunday. In all homestly i had been looking foreard to this film since december, it was originally suppose to come out 9/9/09 but they changed the date in the uk which frustrated me lol XD.

Anyway in my opinion the film was really good however it's running time was only 73 minutes and from watching it the film was indeed very rushed, they could have put a lot more in the film to expand it, but all in all it was still a good film.

Have yet to see it, but thought it looked brilliant from the look of the trailers and everything. :D

If this movie hadn't been announced at expo i would never have heard of it. The trailer looked and sounded amazing, i think it was the soundtrack that hooked me. It seems like a Borrowers movie but with weapons and appocalyptic scenery - a good combo for most movies these days lol

Yeah, I was going to pick up on that, though people call The Nightmare Before Christmas his film too when it's not.

I've been hearing mixed things about this film some say its good some say it could have been better but i really do want to see this film does look really good i've always liked Tim Burton's gothic art style in the films he's done.

Really 73 minutes? a bit rushed aint it but still good films dont have to be hours long to be good and besides who knows they might release a directors cut of the film when it hits DVD.

The movie was nothing spectacular narritavely. The voice acting and animation was brilliantly done, but lacked developed characters or any real plot. The plot was too basic and felt rushed to get to the big action scenes at the cost of character and plot development. '9' was a good movie but lacked detail. I'm also quite annoyed that the music in the trailer was never present in the movie and I wasd left with a rather dull soundtrack in the movie.

....same with Corpse Bride... he only visited the set once. He gets his name on everything though.

If he's a producer, he's a producer. Even an executive one. And his name brings in a whole lot of interest, and therefore moolah!
