How was Expo for you? what'd you get? who'd you meet?

I spent Sunday drawing mostly. I managed to get 10 decent quality pics done in just over an hour. I didn't know exactly what to draw in some cases, so I ended up drawing my own characters.

I enquired about the competition, but me not being competitor when it comes to art, I decided to decline entering...looked fun, but I just don't like putting art up for a competition. I'll post pics up if anyone wants to see them.

I got the Motoko model I had reserved from Saturday and I still haven't opened it yet...it looked awesome when I saw it, I just had to get it!

In any case, I really liked it. I hope to contribute somewhat next time...being a fighting game fan, I hope to at least try and get some fighters in the area...maybe even run a small event for the expo. Woulda been cool - I would have to be the end boss though

This was my fifth LondonExpo and each time it gets better and better for me, and each time i spend way to much money (curse those awesome anime), i saw some great people who was in great cosplay and some not so great, but it was more than what i can do

The biggest buy for me would be a light up lightsaber, don't really know why i went and got one , like i say i spend way to much money for my own good

Expo was fantastic as always! Saturday was really busy so I tried to stay outside as much as I could and I got sunburn which is very rare for me XD but as everyone was outside it was fantastic to chat with you all
Sunday was great as there was more room inside so more time to shop and socialise with everyone

It went okay, I regret not having brought more cash with me as I literally could of spent a fortune on things.

I did manage to buy a few things such as a Kakashi Keyring, Naruto Hidden Leaf Headband, FF8 Soundtrack and an MGS2 soundtrack. So I spent a nice lot of £58 and if I had brought more cash it could of been much more but meh at least I still got the cash if I ever need it.

Urmm as for who I met well forum wise no one, I didn't see anyone tbh. Star wise well no one really interested me I'm not a big fan of any programmes they featured in could of got the Ghostbuster fellows autograph but I kinda screwed that up unfortunatly
I did see the stars well some but never actually went up to them.

Hehe, I just didn't expect it. Usually I meet people going to an event I go to on the train that directly gets there. I am happy that there is someone around these ends that likes to go to these kind of events too. Might have to try and cosplay for the tournaments I go to as well...heh

My expo has made of win and awesome!

I met up with all my friends who I havn't seen in forever, which was brilliant, I'd missed them so much D;

I bought: Candidate for Godessess 2+3, +Anima7, A Kon plushi for the Bleach Tango skit and a cool Sand Sibling poster =D

Expo was brilliant fun, lots of lovely people attended. It was also fantastic to see people cosplaying down to dinner at the Premier Inn where a lot of us were staying - the imagery of Bleach shinigamis munching away and sipping coke will stay with me forever! XD The most expensive thing I bought were the larger versions of the official Death Notes, which were oddly enough written in Chinese. o_0; Oh, and a hot poster of Squall for future cosplay referencing, ohmnomnom~!

This was me and my friends first Anime Expo, it was SOOO good, i took up the "Free Hug" offer almost everytime i saw one ^^, i also loved the DDR part with the Caramelldansen dance bit and the Super Smash Bro's Brawl bit,

I bought mainly Pocky and a chocobo plushie but i did get several pictures of my fav cosplays Chii ! and Haruhi Suzumiya, im deffently going to cosplay at the one in October! It seems like thats a good part of all the fun!

Expo was awesome, as always! Although I was laughed at on the Saturday by a Ghostbuster in the queue when I stumbled and flipped my camcorder's LCD screen shut as I was recording. Should've kicked him.

Uh, let's see. Saturday was just sheer madness. I cosplayed for all of about 40 minutes (I was an Absol) and then had to go back to the hotel for 2 hours with heat exhaustion, thereby missing the cosplay rave and masquerade. Grr. But I like not being in hospital.
Didn't do much shopping on the Saturday as I couldn't get anywhere near most of the stalls. It was the Sunday that I shopped, as I kept finding little treasures that I didn't notice the previous day! Of course, some things I wanted were gone, but it was nice to be able to stand and browse without fifty billion other people standing next to you!

I bought (in no particular order):
- A Staraptor plushie (it is cute, grumpy and fat)
- A Palkia plushie
- A Darkrai plushie (I likes me some Pokemon, in case you hadn't guessed)
- Pocky (who didn't?)
- Chocolate mushrooms
- Some little Pokemon figurines (I have a Wingull that moves from side to side! CUTE!)
- Old Pokemon dogtags (would've bought more but I was running out of money)
- Old Pokemon stickers (ditto to the above)
- Final Fantasy 9 Piano Collections CD
- Final Fantasy 11 OST
- A black Charmander sunhat (it's for children, but it fits me nicely and was only £2! Most adult-sized sunhats go flying off in my head in a stiff breeze)
- 24 keyrings for my mum (that's the series, not the number of keyrings!)

I could have bought so much more, but I held out for the sake of my bank balance.

I didn't meet anyone, because I have no friends, am excruciatingly shy and wasn't there on the Saturday afternoon. I did talk to more cosplayers this time around though, which means I talked to about 3 people.

I also did a bit of exploring around the Docklands area over the weekend and ate dinner on the Saturday at the Caribbean Scene restaurant. Oh, the numminess.

Expo was by and large good this time. I spent most of my time outside the actual hall (Saturday it was too busy, Sunday I was too warm due to my costume) and I only PURCHASED two things (Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and one manga) - I didn't meet any guests, but for some reason... guests never really GRAB me. It's more about cosplay and having a laugh with the other people from here for me, than meeting a celebrity.

My expo was great, I was Sailor Moon in our senshi group, and we won the best performance in the Sunday masquerade. We were all so pleased, so thanks to anyone who was there and cheered or took photos or whatever.

On another note, after we'd won on Sunday, we did YMCA with the power rangers, which was also great. But after that, a couple of the crew taught me and the other scouts a little dance with some simple but cool looking footwork. We still remember it and were doing it at lunch at school the other day, but none of us can remember what song it goes with.
If anyone was there and remembers, or has a film that we can decipher it from or anything, it'd be great - Sailor Neptune wants it on her 16th birthday playlist.

omg i loved the expo XD i went as rei ayanami with a lot of bandages....and managed to bump into a lot of my teachers on the train -_- i got a little mini me which i'd take a picture of, but my cameras kaputt. i really loved the mad hatters because they were all done really well. Plus, it was my first expo so i was kinda like....0.o... x

Had a great time per usual, met with quite a few people from the forums, if only mostly briefly but it was still nice.

We took some photos and I made some hilarious captions on them all when they were uploaded to Facebook, but unfortunately I've just realised that when my friend uploaded them he has made them for non-public viewing so I can't even post them anywhere at the moment. Gah.
