Svetlana Chmakova of "Dramacon" fame at Expo next month!

Right now I'm really happy as Svetlana Chmakova who's the creator of one of my favorite OEL Manga; "Dramacon" will be making an appearance at next month's Expo and I have Andrew from TokyoPop to thank as he knows that I've been a big fan of the series besides himself and he's been trying to get her to make an appearance in the UK as well so I guess we both win in the end...

Yes, this is great news but her appearance was not arranged via Tokyopop. She is attending as an invited artist by MCM Expo.

It's still a genuine surprise at the end of the day that it wasn't Andrew from Tokyopop UK who arranged for Miss Chmakova to make a appearance at the Expo as I thought it was them who had done so to promote the UK release of the hardback collected edition of "Dramacon" that's supposed to be coming out next month in the UK and the series does have its fans over here...

I've a feeling that even if there aren't as many guests this time round, especially as far as anime and manga might be concerned, this more than makes up for it!

I hope there's a possibility of us being able to get a small pencil sketch if we ask politely or offer to pay for one as I'd love to get a sketch of the catgirl cosplayer from volume 1 (the one who puts the fear of God into Chrissie at one stage)...

She'll be signing at Tokyopop's booth both days at 3pm.

I'm hugely excited about her coming, as it marks a big step for the Expo and plus I'm a rabid fan of Dramacon myself

It's been my dream to meet her too and I just hope I don't go all fanboy on her! Seriously though, this is definitely the best reason for me to attend Expo this weekend (that plus the guys who play Merlin and Arthur in the "Merlin" series as well as it's one of my current favorite shows on the TV!)
