Tom Baker! Woo!

Genesis is one of my absolute faves. But yeah, him with his scarf and his voice, fantastic stuff.

I also like Paul McGann. I think he was cool, despite all the mass criticisms I hear.

Paul McGann had promise as the doctor...the problem was the writing.

I voted for Tom Baker, too. What a great character. He got the mixture of eccentricity and hidden wisdom that works perfectly. After him, I'd choose Pat Troughton.

I have to go with the fangirl masses and vote for Tennant. Not entirely because he's hot, I also love the way he plays the Doctor... but a lot of it's 'cause he's hot XD

Then again, this is coming from someone who hasn't seen any Baker episodes apart from one where he spent the whole time running aimlessly around in the wilderness on his own...

Paul McGann had promise as the doctor...the problem was the writing.

I was not a fan of Paul McGann's Doctor at all, but alot of this could be due to the awful script of that tv-film. Since then have heard him do several radio stories as the Doctor and really enjoyed it! So has certainly gone up in my estimation.

David Tennant

I love his charisma and personality. He's well funny and always keep a pace going.
His display of various emotions is very good, something that a doctor needs. =]

I reckon he's perfect for the job. Really enjoy watching the show. What's funny though his normal voice has such a strong Scottish accent, lol.

It's got to be Tom Baker - but David Tennant is a close second. I also quite like Jon Pertwee! If we did a poll for the worst ones it's got to be Peter Davison and Christopher Eccleston.

I quite liked Peter Davidson. A lot more than Colin Baker, that's for sure. Davidson was a good everyman.

Ecclestone would probably be my new worst Doctor, though, yes. I really dislike Tennant's Doctor, but that's the writing more than his performance; with the right script he could be a great Doctor.

I remember watching 1 or 2 of the earlier ones but I wasn't really into Dr Who.
Then I began watching it when the last few episodes with Christopher Eccleston aired.
Tennant imo is the best because I really like watching Dr Who now and I have seen more episodes with him as the Dr than anyone else.

Tom Baker for me,but then i was only 15 when i used to watch Dr who in the mid 70s.Must say though that David Tenant is a close second! I watch the latest Dr Who with my 15 year old son now though! LOL.
