Does your school/college/uni have an anime club?

Well, we kinda made our own club through our school. We met this awesome woman, a youth worker who took us to our first expo and everything and since then we've just planned cosplays and meets and whatever so i guess that counts right?

My school does, but the thing is, only Japanese people or those who speak it turn up, and so we all naturally start speaking in Japanese, which, unfortunately, is not great for those who don't speak it. D:

Some brave ones still come and remind us all to stick to English. xD Works like a charm~

Quite a few in my school, most of us are in y10 (me:P) Y12 and a few Y8's.

But, at my secondary school, me and my friends managed to set up an anime club (they get lots of anime DVDs off eBay), and every Monday when school ended, the librarian would let us use the TV and sit around watching it. 8D We watched all of Fruits Basket, we watched Advent Children, and we also had a little watch of D.N.Angel. ^-^ I was in Year 11, so I had to leave, but, at the moment, they're watching xxxHolic, and Azumanga Daioh. ^^

And I've heard that lots of unis have anime clubs~ which is awesome. ^^ I know Bath Uni has one. ;D

Yes, we have an anime manga group, for all the years. It seems this year we took in a load of year 7 boys, not girls, sad to say haha. Oh well, the next prez is another girl (I was first prez cos' I was the one who wanted the group because we need some more of us people here in school lol) anyway, it's fun but the kids don't listen. I'll find a cane or a keyblade somewhere >:)

Well... I just think you should say: "Well, the programmes you watch, Hollyoaks, Eastenders, Pimp My Ride, and . like that... Pokemon, hell, a KID'S show beats the amount of intelligence that programme shows. But speaking of intelligent programmes, [whisper audibly] please don't run away[/whisper], there is more to Japanese animation than JUST Pokemon and the . you see on Jetix. Some of the plots some of these more obscure shows have could kick your intellect to the kerb." :}

Ugh, I kept getting that too. This group of guys kind of looked at me weirdly in art and then got out their phones and said they'd seen something similar to my drawing (which was a chibi version of Sailor Moon), and... it was hentai. D< In year 9.

My school doesn't nor will it ever. I did see a couple of year elevens (I'm year 10) googling and swooning over Brock from Pokemon, but they're leaving soon anyway. Everyone else is a chav obsessed with their boyfriend/getting a boyfriend (all girls D: ) and I'm known as the midget who likes creepy Japanese things.
The only clubs are sports clubs or ones run by sixth formers. I would rather die than go to my sixth form and the college I plan on going to doesn't have one either. I'm going to be on MSN talking anime until the day I DIE D:

Not that I know of. But there is a group of kids in year 8 (my sister's year) who all like anime and manga XD And we saw them squeeing over anime guys. So there is hope for our school yet!

Me and my friends started a manga club while we were in sixth form. One of us still keeps it open and I go back every now and again to see whats going on. I'm hoping it'll continue once the last of us has left, it was a good thing

well my school has a yu-gi-oh GX club, i dunno y tho only like 5 of the year sevens go, we also used to have a japanese club witch i attended with some of my friends, but our teacher moved schools after 4 months.
