Only problem with a Bobbing for Apples kind of game is that there's a possibility that troll makeup will come off in the water and make it all murky and 8luh. Other than that, I like the idea! Makeup'd trolls are going to have to a) be really careful or b) not play but I'm 0k with that.

Here are some ideas from the FB chat between the little cosplay group I have:

CK: I think a good idea would be to bring like a sketchbook to the Expo if you don't already? Then we could sit around sometime art tradin' for each other and happy times and hooray.
NA: I will bring my pack of cards, and we shall create a quadrant game. )

I did originally think of apple bobbing, but my mind went down the same railroad of thought as yours did.

I can bring my sketchbook and pencils, but I normally draw using my tablet, so I might have to do art trades before/after Expo
A quadrant game would be fun ^_^ Have you guys ever heard of a game called Werewolf, also known as Mafia? I was in the process a few months ago of converting a forum-based version of it into a live one, if anyone would be interested in a round or two of that?

Card games: maybe higher or lower? or those games where you try to find a card after three have been shuffled? How about teams? Kids v trolls, alpha v beta, or just randomly picked into teams by quadrants? Then all the games add up to points and
whoever win get a prize (idk a big bottle of tab or something)

How about throwing pumpkins/matriorbs/planets into buckets, not just plain balls
