Without technology it would be impossible, or at least very impractical,  to run the wide variety of events the MCM Expo Group does. And although technology is a wonderful thing, that is assuming it’s working.

That’s where I come in, your friendly neighborhood UK, Dutch tech guy. From the websites to the e-tickets with their unique barcodes and from the scanners at the door to the network equipment used to tie everything together,  I’ve either designed it, coded it, procured it, installed it or any combination of the above.

I met Bryan in 2008 on the back of some work I did for Sean Harry at Starfury Conventions. After doing some work for him and Wolfevents, he asked me if I would be interested to do the same for the MCM Expo Group and I have stuck around ever since almost becoming part of the furniture.

Although in the run up to an event we rely heavily on a group of talented volunteers, (take a bow guys – you know who you are and we couldn’t do it without you), the daily tech hustle and bustle is mostly mine. Although I only tend to make a personal appearance at our London shows, you can usually find me moderating the chatroom during the MCM Buzz Podcasts or I’m always at the end of an email.
